| Hotel Humaina - Colmenar / Malaga |
| |
This hotel, built in an old mill hamlet, belongs to the Environmental Council of the Junta de Andalucía because it is located in the core of the Nature Park of the Malaga Mountains. Needless to say, that it is surrounded by an awesome forest and valleys with impressive pine-trees, holm- and cork oaks. Therefore, this building is completely integrated into the landscape. The hotel is managed by a company called Alojamientos Naturales en Espacios Andaluces (Natural Lodges in Andalusia Spaces) and led by professionals who try to keep the balance between business and environment.
The building can be defined as an "environmental-crafted-hotel", based on a new rural lodging concept that is particularly respectful of the environment. Therefore, this is the only hotel in the Malaga Province that has the distinctive "Nature Park of Andalusia" seal, an initiative launched so that the population and the companies settled within the Protected Natural Areas can benefit from the valuation of the land. This initiative offers the visitor different products and services closely associated with the environmental value of Nature Parks and promotes the image of crafted and authentic natural products it offers.
