The village of Montejaque is one of the most central of the White Villages (Pueblos Blancos) for the visitor who wishes to not only find the peacefull, relaxing way of Andalucian village life but also, being central, allows the visitor to explore the famous cultural cities of Ronda, Sevilla, Cordoba, Granada and Jerez. All these cities are within reasonable driving distance from the village and for the people who would like a day at the beach you have the town of San Pedro less than an hours drive away.
Casas de Montejaque takes great pride in our selection of accommodation within the village. All our houses are, what we consider to be of a high standard. With past experience we have found that our guests prefer to have a choice of different types of accommodation available in the village. For this reason we have selected three different options to offer our guests in Montejaque:
Montejaque is the ideal place for people wishing to escape from the hussle and bussle of fast city life and relax in some of the prettiest surroundings one could imagine. Set 745 metres above sea level and surrounded by stunning mountain peaks, olive groves, cork forests and miles and miles of wonderful walking country. In the spring-time, the keen botanist would find a fantastic range of wild flowers, sun flowers, etc.

Wild flowers, rare birds, caves, walking, mountain biking, horse riding, balloon trips, para-gliding and much more can be found in or around Montejaque. Something available for every taste. Further information on all before mentioned can be acquired in our English speaking reception located within the grounds of our gardens and swimming pool which are exclusive to our visitors. The village itself has several shops and supermarkets catering for all your requirements run by the welcoming and friendly local people. The village has all the necessary medical services, chemist, post office, etc. There are two restaurants in the village and several small local bars. One bar in particular, is very popular with our visitors (La Taberna). Our reception with our friendly English speaking staff is also set within the same premises. Here you will find information on all the surrounding areas, cities and places of interest. We also have E-mail, Fax and Telephone facilities available at a small charge.

Eight poolsite cottages set within their own gardens with swimming pool. Each cottage has been designed and decorated in typical Andaluz design. The gardens, with magnificent views over the valleys and surrounding mountains have the pleasing sounds of a waterfall feature flowing over the natural rocks within the gardens. In the evenings the gardens and pool are illuminated so one can relax on their terrace and take in the evening scents of the Jasmine and enjoy the relaxing sounds of village life.
Village cottages are for those who want to be totally absorbed in a friendly, traditional Andalucian village. All recently renovated preserving the original design of old Spanish cottages, all with wood burner stoves or open fire places for the winter months. The cottages are set within the narrow winding streets of the village itself. One must bare in mind that the village is set in the mountains and some streets can be quite steep. Each house has its own individual character, all with rooftop terraces or garden giving magnificent views over the valley or surrounding mountains. Guests using the cottage have exclusive use of the swimming pool at "Casas de Montejaque".

"Townhouses" as we call them are of a modern design and normally in the lower part of the village. These houses are more suited to families with small children or the elderly who may not like the winding streets to the cottages. They also suit the person who enjoys the atmosphere of the old Spanish village but like to have the modern design. All are furnished and decorated to a high standard. Once again, guests arriving for the townhouses will be received at our reception and taken to their house by one of our staff. The pool is also for the use of house guests.
