This old country house is at the edge of a small Alentejo village. Dona Maria's family have lived here since the 1920s and the care and attention you will get as a guest is most gracious (some say like staying with a favourite aunt). All the bedrooms are spacious and most have views out to the nearby Castelo de Vide. Have dinner at the house and enjoy the Quinta's wine and liquer (request in advance).

It also would make a good family holiday spot as you can watch the everyday activities of the grape harvest, milking of the cows, fruit harvest and winemaking. Meals available on request and there is a swimming pool and bicycles for your added enjoyment for use in the summer months. Horseriding is 15 euros an hour.
