Casa de Obidos - Obidos

Dating back to the 19th century, Casa d’ Óbidos was built by the Mr. Garrelon, an engineer from Eiffel team, who established there to lead the railway construction. It’s located in an environmental protected area, which allows the guest to enjoy a quiet environment and magnificent views of the castle of Óbidos. This imposing Manor House, constructed in 1889, is surrounded by a delightful newly replanted garden containing many types of fruit and specimen trees. The fence is of trained quince plants for making the Portuguese 'marmalada' which accompanies cheese. There is also a cactus garden near the garden pergola.
