Day 1: ARRIVE BERGEN
Transfer from Bergen Flesland Airport or Coastal Express quay to hotel in connection with your flight arrival. Dinner and accommodation at Clarion Hotel Admiral, a first class hotel with a unique location, overlooking the Bryggen Harbour in the very centre of Bergen. |
Day 2: BERGEN
After a delicious buffet breakfast, start of 3 hours guided tour of Bergen, including a visit to the popular Fish and Flower Market, the famous Bryggen Harbour with its gabled packhouses, the old Hanseatic Quarter, and the historic Maria Church. You will also ride on the funicular to Mt. Fløien, for panoramic views of the city and fjords way below. Afternoon free for exploring this charming old maritime city, also known as the Capital of the Fjords. Dinner and accommodation at Clarion Hotel Admiral. |
Day 3: BERGEN - BALESTRAND
After breakfast departure from Bergen, followed by scenic tour alongside the beautiful Hardanger Fjord, famous for its many fruit orchards, to the town of Voss.
Stop to view the enchanting Tvindefoss Waterfall, believed to be the source of eternal youth, before the breathtaking ascent to Stalheim, with incredible views of the surrounding mountain peaks and the Nærøy Valley. Descend to Gudvangen for start of 2 hours cruise from Gudvangen to Flåm on one of Robinson Scandinavia’s sightseeing boats, sailing along the narrow Nærøy and Aurlands Fjords, two branches of the magnificent Sogn Fjord, the longest and deepest fjord in the world. Enjoy the spectacular scenery of cascading waterfalls, sheer mountain cliffs, snow-clad peaks, and a variety of wildlife. Buffet lunch will be served on board during the cruise. After a visit to the touristic village of Flåm, continue by coach across the Vika Mountains to Vangsnes for the short ferry crossing to the beautiful resort of Balestrand on the banks of the Sogn Fjord. Dinner and accommodation at Kvikne’s Hotel, superbly located overlooking the fjord and surrounded by mountains. |
Day 4: BALESTRAND - GEIRANGER
Ascend the impressive Gaular Mountain road with breathtaking photo stops, followed by scenic tour alongside lovely Lake Jølster. Stop to view the Jostedal Glacier, the largest in Europe, followed by lunch in a restaurant facing the glacier. During the afternoon you will enjoy a scenic tour around the beautiful Nord Fjord, via Olden and Loen, before continuing to the picturesque village of Hellesylt, to go on board the ferry for the one hour’s cruise along the spectacular Geiranger Fjord. During the cruise you will pass close by some impressive waterfalls, such as the Bridal Veil and the Seven Sisters. Dinner and accommodation at the excellent Union Hotel, overlooking the Geiranger Fjord. |
Day 5: GEIRANGER - OSLO
Ascend the famous Serpentine Road with amazing views of the fjord below, before crossing the rugged Grotli Mountains to the village of Lom, famous for its 14th century stave church. The tour continues alongside Lake Vågå to Otta, then descends the wonderful Gudbrands Valley towards the town of Lillehammer. Stop for lunch. After lunch visit the popular Olympia Park, before continuing the journey along the banks of Lake Mjøsa, the largest in Norway, arriving in the Norwegian capital during the early evening. Dinner and accommodation at Radisson SAS Scandinavia Hotel, situated in the centre of Oslo with panoramic views of the city and the Oslo Fjord. |
Day 6: OSLO DEPARTURE
Buffet breakfast at your hotel, followed by transfer to Oslo Gardermoen Airport in connection with your flight home.
